About Dancing With the Docs

Dancing with the Docs is The Ottawa Hospital’s most entertaining fundraising event. Based on TV’s Dancing with the Stars, physicians and researchers at hospital are paired with professional dancers from Arthur Murray Dance Studio. They train hard for months to compete to win the coveted Medicine Ball.

Funds raised through Dancing With the Docs support hospital priorities such as cancer care and research, stem cell research, and research to improve patient care – all of which lead to better outcomes and treatment plans for patients. Each participant chooses an area that means the most to them and the patients they care for.

This is a great opportunity to connect with our communities health care leaders and individuals who are shaping how we care for patients here in Ottawa, and around the world.

In total, eight docs will compete throughout the evening. From the cha-cha to the waltz, guests will without a doubt be tapping their feet to the beat.
